SuperSell: Must Have iPhone App a Game-Changer for Sales People

Pinehurst, North Carolina – The Assessment and Development Group International (ADGI) announces the release of SuperSell 1.0, a new app for iPhone and iPod touch users. SuperSell draws heavily from ADGI’s extensive experience in sales force development to help account managers, consultative, and relationship sales people create sales strategies complete with specific tactics tailored to each buyer’s motivation, communication style, and worldview.

Complementing any sales training, SuperSell teaches sales people how to understand and adapt to buyer differences, and how to situationally modify what they say and what they do to best meet the expectations and preferences of each of their buyers. The sales strategies are uniquely generated through the app’s comparative analysis of the traits and behavioral styles of the sales people and their buyers.

Two ADGI proprietary tools, the OMS Questionnaire and the Interaction Style Checklist, power this app. The user completes the OMS Questionnaire as a first step (about 7 or 8 minutes), which generates two comprehensive reports describing the user’s Interaction Style (communication and interpersonal behaviors) and the user’s selling style, including how to leverage that style most advantageously to improve personal performance. The user then completes the very brief IS Checklist on each buyer, creating a report on each buyer’s behavioral style, a strategy report of considerable depth and scope, and a Q & A report addressing additional selling considerations for that buyer.

Users can enter as many buyer contacts as their mobile devices will hold. Contact data can be keyed in manually or pulled from the Contacts app on the phone. Once created, Contact reports are available for review and can be emailed to produce hard copies. A comprehensive tutorial is also provided in SuperSell, which explains how to use the app and the Interaction Style behavioral model in selling interactions.

Designed to help sales people increase sales and earnings and improve personal productivity, SuperSell offers many additional job performance and career benefits:

* SuperSell shortens selling cycles and helps sales people use their time more efficiently
* SuperSell strengthens customer relationships to provide additional protection against competition
* SuperSell builds closer, more long-lasting and more mutually beneficial buyer-seller relationships

In account management and consultative selling, the quality of the sales interaction is the most significant variable affecting sales results. As in so many other things where the devil is in the details, it is the subtleties of how the sales person communicates and behaves that make the difference. SuperSell uncovers these critical subtleties that are so important and presents them in direct, easy-to-read reports that can be reviewed while waiting for a sales appointment.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone and iPod touch
* Requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later
* 1.4 MB

Pricing and Availability:
SuperSell 1.0 is $9.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Business category. Promo codes are available for qualified reviewers. Please identify your websites or blog when making a request.

Knox 2.0.3 Released – Smaller, faster and better than ever

Toronto (Ontario, Canada) – Knox makes securing your files easier than ever by making it simple to create encrypted vaults and open them with ease. Knox 2.0.3 brings a 50% reduction in the size of the application, as well as fixes to cut launch time in half and improve operation when running as a menubar application. The “Knox bubble” that brought attention to the menu item after launch has been replaced with a simpler animation, and launching the application in menubar mode no longer shows the Knox icon in the Dock while launching.

Support for Beta builds has also been added to Knox, allowing users to opt-in to the beta program. Users who choose to be on the cutting edge of Knox development can easily stay up-to-date with the latest builds, and provide valuable feedback during the ongoing development of Knox.

This version also fixes an issue that caused users to be unable to turn off the auto-update feature, as well as minor text inconsistencies in the About Knox and Preferences > Version windows.

What’s New in Knox 2.0.3:
[NEW] Added support for Beta builds.
[CHANGED] Changed how Knox handles Dock vs Menu mode to prevent the Knox icon from appearing on the Dock temporarily before moving to the main menu.
[CHANGED] Reduced Knox application size by 50%
[CHANGED] No longer showing the “Knox bubble” when launching in the menu bar. Showing a progress throbber instead which is less obvious but should still draw enough attention.
[FIXED] Fixed problem where autoupdater could not be disabled.
[FIXED] Version number now appears correctly in About Knox and Preferences > Version windows.

Pricing and Availability:
A Single User license of Knox is available for $34.95 (USD) and a five-user Family License for $59.95 (USD). A fully functioning, 30-day trial of Knox may be downloaded for free from Agile Web Solutions’ Downloads page. 1Password for Mac 3.2.5 Released With Over 10 Fixes and Improvements

Toronto (Ontario, Canada) – 1Password 3.2.5 includes multiple bug fixes and important improvements. These include a change to the auto-submit feature – which fills and submits login forms automatically – to prevent the form from being instantly submitted if it contains a text field, as found in the comment areas of blogs such as The Unofficial Apple Weblog and others. This has been an issue for blog commenters in the past, and Agile Web Solutions is excited to offer a solution to the problem!

1Password 3.2.5 also brings usability and interface enhancements, including a new dialog with instructions for updating the browser plugins when it encounters an unknown version of a browser, such as the recent release of Safari 5. Among other fixes and changes, support for additional HTML5 form fields (url and number) is included, as well as fixes for display issues when re-typing an unlock password over a failed attempt.

What’s New in 1Password 3.2.5:
[NEW] Now displaying upgrade instructions when an unsupported browser version is encountered. I.e. when a new version of Safari is released.
[CHANGED] Now deselecting source list item during global search to make it clear that all item types are being searched.
[CHANGED] Minor log wording change to tell people how to activate extensions if desired. Also using both Console and 1PasswordAgent.log in these situations.
[CHANGED] Now disabling preferences in 1Password > Preferences > Browsers when browser extensions are disabled.
[CHANGED] Improved string validation of object title to eliminate newline characters (including unicode characters).
[CHANGED] Added support for url and number HTML 5 form field types.
[FIXED] Fixed a bug where contentsHash for newly saved logins was calculated incorrectly. In this case, syncing would result in incorrect conflicts being reported.
[FIXED] Improved reliability of bookmarklet creation.
[FIXED] Fixed problem with strong password generator resetting to 50 character long passwords with each use.
[FIXED] Improved performance, fixed some small memory leaks.
[FIXED] Fixed broken Help buttons in Updates and Login Preference panes and added new Help buttons to General, Security, and Browsers panes.
[CHANGED] No longer automatically submitting Logins if the web form has a text area field (for example, to avoid autosubmit on blog comment forms).
[CHANGED] Improved drawing of password text in unlock screen when re-typing over an incorrect password.
[CHANGED] Double clicking a revealed password in 1PasswordAnywhere will no longer select the Hide button. This makes copying easier and more robust as the old way would add the word “Hide” to the end of the copied password.

Pricing and Availability:
A Single User license of 1Password for the Mac is available for $39.95 (USD) and a five user Family License for $69.95 (USD). A fully functioning, 30-day trial of 1Password may be downloaded for free from Agile Web Solutions’ Downloads page. After 30 days, 1Password will continue to run for free, and is limited to 20 items. Special media licenses are available for members of the press and the blogging community upon request. The 3.2.5 update is free to current licensed users of version 3.0 or higher.

BoxBattle 1.0.1 for iOS – Free, Intricate, Steampunk Cannon Battle Game

Stavropol, Russian Federation – MaxNick today is pleased to announce the introduction of BoxBattle 1.0.1, their new free, steampunk, cannon battle game for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. A relation of cyberpunk, steampunk is science fiction set in a civilization where machines are steam and spring powered. BoxBattle captures the spirit and substance of this motif with animated mechanical graphics, simple gameplay involving a collection of many small parts, 130+ levels of play, and a detailed narrative of war between alien races.

A large part of this game is in the steampunk mood that is so skillfully realized in every detail. There are no futuristic gleaming or streamlined metal surfaces. Burnished, handcrafted brass and steel predominate. Wooden crates are meticulously constructed of painted planks of wood with brass strapping. Copper piping, lead and nickel castings, meshed rotating gears, and plumes of white steam and black smoke set the stage. The attention to graphic detail has been matched by the developer’s exploitation of the iOS physics engine, responsible for movement. Cannonball size and weight are user selectable as are velocities and trajectories, there is acceleration and deceleration, solids have believable mass and collide according to natural, Newtonian principles.

Gameplay is straightforward: use the cannon to destroy as many green boxes/crates as possible, and as few red boxes as possible (although strategy plays a greater role as the game grows more complex). Each canon round costs points, and the player/artilleryman must maximize points by maximizing damage. There are various levels that differ in complexity and the number of tasks necessary to reach 100 points or more, which allows access to the next level. At the start of each level, special optional tasks are outlined which triple point score on that level. The free game comes with 12 starter levels, and offers additional 30 and 90 level upgrade packs as an in-app purchase.

Feature Highlights:
* Do battle on an alien planet during their Steam Age
* Choice of cannons, ammunition, location, direction, gunpowder
* Climb the ranks, win medals, induction into orders, special tasks and honors
* OpenFeint connectivity, leaderboards, achievements; in-app statistics
* Destroy the maximum number of green boxes, the minimum number of red boxes
* Control canon’s direction, firing angle, position, ammunition, gunpowder
* Atmospheric, original music, sound effects, vibration can be set on/off

There is a temporary lull in the endless war between the Quarks and the Tulans. After 40 years of near constant warfare, nearly the entire planet has been destroyed. Both civilizations have been fighting using weapons representative of their level of scientific advancement: the age of steam and mechanical power. Quark military engineers have recently developed two advanced cannons: The Fighting Unicorn and The Three-Headed Dragon. If the Tulans are to be defeated, these new weapons must break the deadlock. Cannoneers must be highly skilled, as the new canons are complex, and the enemy is very resourceful in constructing barriers and shields.

Like a Victorian Age clockwork, the game includes many small, interlocking parts. There are numerous military ranks from Common Recruit to First Cannoneer of the Empire. There are 5 different medals which can be won, each at the Bronze, Silver, or Gold level of achievement. There are 3 chivalric orders with 3 classes each, with the 1st Class Golden Order the highest. Military ranks, honors, and orders are all combined with game scores to determine positions in global OpenFeint ratings. Artillery gunners may choose from 10 ten different kinds of ammunition and 3 different canons. A wide variety of gameplay statistics are stored.

“We designed BoxBattle to immerse the player in a steampunk universe, and I think we’ve succeeded,” commented Co-Founder Nikolay Verevkin. “We’ve built many, many hours of engrossing gameplay into BoxBattle.”

Language Support:
* US English and Russian

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
* iOS 3.2 or later
* 12.3 MB

Pricing and Availability:
BoxBattle 1.0.1 is available free of charge from the App Store in the Games category. Additional content in the form of 30 additional levels of gameplay is available as an in-app purchase for $0.99. Additional content in the form of 90 additional levels of gameplay is available as an in-app purchase for $1.99. Review copies are available upon request.

GoodReader Reintroduces USB Support to iPhone and iPad Users

Topeka, Kansas – Good.iWare announces a breakthrough development which will bring back the extremely popular feature of transferring files via USB to its GoodReader document viewer for iPhone and iPad. Transferring files via USB was available up until a few months ago when app developers who offered USB support had to discontinue the feature because it was in conflict with the rules of Apple’s iPhone SDK. GoodReaderUSB, which is available to all Mac and Windows users, once again enables users to transfer files via USB – but without violating rules established by Apple.

GoodReaderUSB originally worked by transferring files to a special location on a user’s iPhone, which iPhone’s GoodReader app was able to access. However, accessing this location was a violation of Apple’s iPhone SDK Agreement, because the app had to access files outside its own private storage space, which is forbidden by Apple. This past November, Apple requested developers to remove this capability from their apps and, as a result, GoodReader lost one of its most popular features.

The development team at Good.iWare has been working hard to create a solution that would return this feature to its enormously successful GoodReader app, but without violating the rules of the iPhone SDK Agreement. With the update to GoodReaderUSB for Mac and Windows, it will now transfer files directly into the application’s private storage space (also known as the app’s “sandbox”) and, therefore, avoiding a violation of Apple’s rules.

GoodReaderUSB works similar to transferring files from iTunes to an iPad with its “File Sharing” feature, simply dragging a file with a mouse to the app’s sandbox. However, there are several key differences:

* Unlike with iTunes USB transfer, GoodReaderUSB enables users to browse all of the app’s subfolders
* GoodReaderUSB users can transfer folders as well as files
* GoodReaderUSB works with all eligible devices – iPhone, iPod touch, iPad – with all versions of the iPhone OS starting with 3.0. It also works with all versions of the GoodReader app, including GoodReader for iPad, GoodReader for iPhone, GoodReader Lite for iPhone

This news will enable many GoodReader users, who depended on the USB transfer abilities, to finally upgrade to the latest versions of GoodReader and all of its newest capabilities without losing this important feature.

GoodReaderUSB is available as a free download for Windows and Mac desktops at Good.iWare’s website. GoodReader for iPhone and iPad currently retails for only $.99 in the iTunes App Store.

GoodReader has been an extremely successful app on both the iPhone and iPad. Since the release of the iPad version, GoodReader has achieved #1 in sales in the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, Spain and many others.

About GoodReader:
GoodReader is known as the top document reader for viewing and navigating large PDF documents on an iPhone and iPad. Besides its text search capability, other key GoodReader features are active hyperlinks, which enable users to more easily navigate within the document or launch a linked document or website, and PDF Reflow. These features make GoodReader an even better choice for those who browse large technical documents.
