Pocket Devil HD Makes Its iPad Debut At Midnight On Friday the 13th

In celebration of Friday the 13th, the iPhone version of Pocket Devil will be free for the day. The popular entertainment app allows players to summon hordes of devilish underlings called “The Mugat2″. As their malevolent overseer, players then completely annihilate them, one by one, choosing from a variety of torture methods and a vast assortment of weaponry. With higher resolution graphics and detailed textures, Pocket Devil HD – Hell Yeah! makes total omnipotence look sinfully sweet and wickedly satisfying.

Upon entering Pocket Devil HD – Hell Yeah!’s hellish underworld, up to five tiny devils can be summoned with a tap. When The Mugat2 are not being eaten by the murderous plant who feeds on their blood, players are encouraged to do their barbarous worst. Weapons range from cans of napalm, falling spikes and pitchforks, to torturous instruments of terror including a guillotine, an electric chair and a chained noose. There is even a sexy She-Devil that kills every one of her demonic admirers with a single kiss of death which turns them into crumbling stone.

“The app is just viciously addictive. It’s highly entertaining, funny and customizable to your own malevolent intentions,” says Jeremy Adelman, co-founder of Eyedip. “On the iPad it’s even more visually stunning. Players have a better view of the mayhem they are causing.” Pocket Devil HD – Hell Yeah! includes a slew of reprehensible ways for players to torture the little Lucifers, and on the iPad, there’s more sadistic detail to be seen. Customizable options include the ability to choose from a number of heads for The Mugat2 or an in-app-purchase option to upload a photo of your choice.

Points and trophies are earned in mini-games which can be played alongside the main underworld. Mini-games include “Mugat2 Slapfest”, a whack-a-mole inspired game which has the user backhand as many minions as possible in sixty seconds, and “Mugat2 Halfpipe Skateboarding” in which the player tries to pull off as many gnarly tricks as possible to score points.

New iPad app teaches kids the basics of reading and writing

London, United Kingdom – The latest version of the award-winning abc PocketPhonics has 4.5 out of 5 stars making it the top-rated app of its type on the US and UK App Stores. It has also just been rated 4th best iphone app for educating kids on babble.com.

Reading is taught using the synthetic phonics method selected by US, UK and Australian governments. Children are taught letter sounds and how to blend them together to sound out and spell words.

Writing letters is taught by the app demonstrating how to write a letter and the child mimicking this by tracing the letter with their finger. The app measures how well they trace and their success is greeted with applause from the app’s friendly pencil people characters.
