Review 1.0 released for iPhone – Judge Mockups on an actual device

London, United Kingdom – Kevin Kalle and Bohemian Coding introduce Review 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch devices. Review is the quickest way for iOS interface designers to judge their mockups on an actual device. Viewing mockups on your device couldn’t be easier.

The process is simple; Review your mockups by simply dragging them to the menubar icon on your Mac and they will sync with your iPhone over WiFi. Review is fully aware of the amazing Retina display on iPhone 4 and will scale mockups accordingly. Now you will able to see with 100% accuracy how your mockup will look; your images are not compressed in any way.

Review even has a few additional tricks:
* When displaying an icon-sized image it will render it exactly as it would appear on the home screen, with rounded corners and optionally the typical glow.

* As most designers will design their UI in Photoshop, by simple use of a hotkey, Review will grab the current Photoshop document you are working on, convert it to PNG and push it to the device for immediate viewing. It couldn’t be easier.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone and iPod touch
* Requires iOS 4.0 or later
* 0.7 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Review 1.0 is offered at the introductory price of $2.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category. New iPhone App Abracadial Improves Access to Your Contact Lists

Marblehead, Massachusetts – Deutsch Creative, an award-winning design studio, announced the availability of Abracadial 1.0, its flagship app, designed to make it easier for iPhone users to organize and access their contacts. Available at the iTunes store for $0.99

In a connected world, sometimes people have so many contacts they have trouble sorting through them. Abracadial (pronounced abra-kuh-DIAL) enables users to organize and quickly access their contacts. You can group contacts into folders or shortcuts to similar contacts. For example, you can build a shortcut to a group called “softball” and when you click on it, you immediately get the contents of that group, or in this case, all of the parents of your daughter’s softball team.

“I needed Abracadial,” said Deutsch. “I was unable to find an app for the iPhone that would let me do what I needed; I couldn’t place groups within groups; color-code groups or easily create speed-dial buttons; but mostly it took a lot of steps to complete some very simple tasks. After combing through the available apps, I determined I’d have to build it myself.”

A few months later, Abracadial is available in the Apple store for iPhone 4.0. “iPhone users need to get to what they want as quickly as they can and in as few steps as possible,” Deutsch said. In that way, Abracadial might just be your most important productivity tool. With Abracadial, you can sort your contacts into easily accessible groups with only a few clicks, whether it’s a client roster or your favorite pizza places.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone and iPod touch
* Requires iOS 4.0 or later
* 0.9 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Abracadial 1.0 is only $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category.

Firetask 3 for iPhone Adds Flagging and More

Graz, Austria – The latest major release of Firetask, the most innovative task management app for the iPhone and iPod touch, now allows for flagging of next tasks. In contrast to earlier versions, Firetask’s unique “Today” view does not only show the first unscheduled task together with all due tasks, but also all flagged tasks in their defined order. This provides GTD(R) practitioners with much more precise control of their next task lists.

The second major change of Firetask 3.0 is a totally redesigned, more natural task list user interface. The previously combined priority-and-status control gives way to a new dedicated status control to the very left in each task list, clearly separated by a vertical orange line. The creators of Firetask believe that the new task list UI will provide for an even clearer and more effective GTD(R) task management experience. In addition, it more closely resembles the user interface of the upcoming desktop application for Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

Furthermore, Firetask now takes full advantage of the new possibilities of iOS 4 as well as the new iPhone 4 hardware. The new version supports fast app switching and includes a complete set of high-resolution images making Firetask look great on the iPhone 4′s retina display. Last but not least, release 3.0 prepares the iPhone version also for syncing with the Firetask desktop application that is due to be released later this Summer.

Supported Languages:
* US English and German

Device Requirements:
* iPhone and iPod touch
* Requires iOS 4.0 or later
* 2.2 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Firetask 3.0 is $4.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category. More information about Firetask can be found on their website.
